Instead of pursuing youth like GM Dave Littlefield said, the Pirates are seriously pursuing Trot Nixon to play right field. The Pirates have had numerous right fielders over the years, most recently, Jeromy Burnitz. Nixon batted .268 with 8 HR and 52 RBI in his 10th season with the Red Sox.
