Giants Close in on Bonds, Wilson Resigns

Barry Bonds arrived in San Francisco to take his physical and a deal is expected to be completed by the end of the week. The deal, which was agreed to seven weeks ago, will give Bonds 15.8 million dollars next year. Bonds batted .270 with 26 HR and 77 RBI. The Cardinals and Preston Wilson have agreed to a one year deal. Wilson batted .263 with 17 HR and 72 RBI with the Astros and Cardinals.
