Dodgers Interested in Loaiza

The Dodgers are looking to add another starter and will look for a cheap upgrade in A's pitcher Esteban Loaiza, who is set to make 7 million in his final year of his contract next season. The A's don't have the kind of money they would like to spend on other players with Loaiza in their payroll so they could unload him and some of his salary a for a pair of low level prospect of Beane's choice. Loaiza is 1-0 W-L with a 1.84 ERA with 5 K in two games this season. Although he is troubled by injury, he would be a great pickup for the defensive strong Dodgers who provide good run support.UPDATE: THE DODGERS CLAIMED LOAIZA OFF WAIVERS FROM THE A'S. TERMS OF DEAL WERE NOT DISCLOSED.
