Braves Out Of Peavy Talks

PrintAccording to Ken Rosenthal, the Braves have bowed out of the Jake Peavy talks. "We've moved on," Braves GM Frank Wren said. The Braves presented a very good offer to the Padres based around Yunel Escobar, but the Padres are looking for more. Sources say the Cubs remain interested, and will talk throughout the weekend.
The Braves plan to pursue Ryan Dempster or Derek Lowe.
