Royals Target Marshall, Fontenot?

According to Phil Rogers, the Royals are targeting Sean Marshall and Mike Fontenot in a trade involving Mark Teahen. I would be very surprised to see the Cubs trade either of their rising stars, who could have a serious impact on the 2009 Cubs. Aside from being a lefty, Teahen really doesn't bring much to the table for the Cubs. They would be better off moving DeRosa to right field and starting Fontenot at second base, saving their money for a big move.

The Cubs would probably be willing to give up Randy Wells or Ronny Cedeno in a deal, or maybe even Jake Fox. The Cubs have interest in Bobby Abreu and Raul Ibanez, but may not be willing to give them the money they want.

Until the ownership deal is resolved the Cubs can't do much.
