Red Sox Make Offer To Varitek

PrintThe Boston Herald is reporting that the Red Sox have made a two year offer to Jason Varitek. "[Journalists] will never know the market for catchers because teams won't comment on whether or not they need a catcher. No team wants to say publically that they were upset with their current catchers performance. The position is experienced-based," Boras said.
When it is all said and done, the Red Sox will probably sign Jason Varitek.
