The Athletics and Jason Giambi have come to terms on a one year deal with a club option for 2010, Ken Rosenthal is reporting. Giambi will be the Athletics' primary DH, but will also play first base with Daric Barton. As for Jack Cust, he will switch between DH and outfield. Giambi hit .247 with a .373 OBP and 32 HR for the Yankees last season, and is a .246 career hitter with 99 career homeruns in 1620 at-bats at DH.
Giambi's salary is believed to be worth 5-7 million dollars, plus incentives.
