The Pirates are closing in on a one year deal with free agent 1B/OF Eric Hinske. The deal would pay Hinske somewhere between 1 and 2 million dollars, plus incentives. Hinske, 31, hit .247 with 20 HR and 60 RBI last season for the American League Champion Rays.This story was approved by MLB Rumors.
