A's Interested In Wuertz?
According to Bruce Levine of ESPN 1000 (and a loyal reader), Cubs reliever Mike Wuertz is drawing interest from the Athletics. Wuertz struggled with his command last season, but is very capable of being a dominant middle reliever. He was 1-1 with a 3.63 ERA last season, but has a career 3.57 ERA in 265 career games. Wuertz, 30, gives the Cubs a lot of depth, so the Cubs probably won't trade him unless they are getting a solid prospect in return. This story was approved by MLB Rumors.

Lots of deals for the Cubs the last couple of weeks. My only concern with the roster at this point is the fact that (assuming Marshall gets the 5th starter spot), they only have one left handed reliever. Could they be considering adding MIKE STANTON to the 40 man?!? He's older than ME!
