Padres interview Dodgers assistant Kim Ng
The Padres interviewed Dodgers assistant GM Kim Ng for their GM opening this past week, sources have told SI.com's Jon Heyman. Ng, who would be the first female general manager, has already interviewed for the Dodgers and Mariners openings in the past.
Ng has worked for the Yankees and White Sox in the past, and is regarded around baseball as one of the top executives. Red Sox executive Jed Hoyer is considered the favorite for the job, but you can't rule out Ng after spending the last eight years in the NL West.
