Indians hire Manny Acta to be manager
The Indians have hired former Nationals manager Manny Acta to be their next manager, signing him to a three year deal with a club option for 2013.
"I am very excited to become part of the Cleveland Indians family," Acta said. "I look forward to working with this talented group of young men who seem to possess a lot of energy and passion for their work."
The Indians made the right choice here. Acta is a young up and coming manager with a positive mindset and clear goals. He could be in Cleveland for the next several years to come.

Manny's hiring
I think Manny Acta will be a good hire for the Indians. Most Indians fans already don’t. That’s their problem. This team has a great young nucleus. I believe Acta has the ability to relate to the types of young talent the team has acquired and, as a fan, am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Given an experienced pitcher or two to mentor this young pitching staff I believe they have the ability to compete for the Central division title as soon as next year. Prove me right Manny!
