Diamondbacks to pick up Brandon Webb's option

SI.com's Jon Heyman is reporting that the Diamondbacks are leaning towards picking up Brandon Webb's 8.5 million dollar 2010 option. Webb, who only made one start in 2009, could be a trade candidate at the trade deadline if he can return to 2008 form.

Webb, who averaged about 17 wins from 2004-2008, is a three-time All-Star and 2006 Cy Young award winner.

If he were made available at the trade deadline, who do you think would make a move for the Diamondbacks ace?

I always thought there was a reason I hated those 3 teams :)

i still think he will get resigned. One injury shouldn’t change a constant Cy Young contending pitcher.
