Giants re-sign Freddy Sanchez

The Giants have re-signed second baseman Freddy Sanchez to a two year deal worth 12 million dollars. Sanchez is taking a slight pay cut, but will ultimately have earned more in the long run.

Sanchez hit just .284 in 107 plate appearances with the Giants, but finished with a .293 average in 111 games.

The Giants made the right move bringing Sanchez back. His ability to get on base and at second base is nothing but an improvement for the Giants from the start of the 2009 season.
