Brewers sign Trevor Hoffman

ESPN.com's Buster Olney is reporting that the Brewers and Trevor Hoffman have agreed to a one year deal worth 8 million dollars. Hoffman posted some of his best numbers in over a decade, finishing the season with 0.91 WHIP and a sub-2.00 ERA.

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2009 - Trevor Hoffman 3-2 55 0 0 0 37 4 54.0 35 11 11 2 14 48 1.83 .91

Hoffman played a huge role in the Brewers young clubhouse, mentoring young pitchers and giving more stability to the back-end of the Brewers bullpen.

Hopefully the 42-year old future Hall of Famer can continue to have success in 2010.
