White Sox pick up option on Garcia

The White Sox excercised the 2010 option on pitcher Freddy Garcia, SI.com is reporting. Garcia will earn a base salary of 1 million dollars with a possible 2 million dollars in incentives. Garcia posted a 4.34 ERA in nine starts with the White Sox this season.
Garcia will likely be an option in the back-end of the rotation.
