Damon to White Sox?
The Boston Globe suggests that if the Yankees decide not to bring back Johnny Damon, the White Sox could be an option for his services.
The White Sox need a leadoff hitter and reportedly have their sights set on free agent utility man Chone Figgins. However, several teams are expected to be in on Figgins, meaning his price could go way up.
Damon, who hit .282 with 24 home runs, has been outspoken about his future with the Yankees during the regular season, hoping he can convey his interest in staying in New York through the media.
Damon would give the White Sox the power hitting leadoff man they need; however, that need could drive up Damon's price.
Damon is also expected to talk to the Cubs, Brewers, Giants, and Padres, among others.

“Damon would give the White Sox the power hitting leadoff man they need”
Damon wouldn’t be a power hitting lead off hitter for the ChiSox. Unless they plan on moving the right field foul pole in about 30-40 feet to match Boston and New York, Damon is just a 10-15 hr guy. A good portion of his home runs are right down the line and field aided. In 2009 he had 19 home runs between Fenway and YS, just 5 at every other park.
look out johnny!
someone is trying to steal your helmet!
I love that not even he knew that he scored and he continued to try to put it in - Evilducks
