Royals ace Zack Greinke wins Cy Young
Royals pitcher Zack Greinke won the American League Cy Young Tuesday after putting up excellent numbers during the 2009 season.
Greinke beat out Mariners ace Felix Hernandez, who put up just as impressive numbers going 19-5 with a 2.49 ERA.
Greinke, who was nearly out of baseball in 2006 after being diagnosed with a social anxiety order, showed everyone why he was a first-round draft pick this season.
The Royals signed him to a four year extension last offseason, and will receive a 100,000 bonus for winning the award as stated in the contract.
It's not common that the Cy Young goes to a pitcher who pitched for a last place team. With that said, do you think the writers made the right decision?

absolutely the right choice
he was, by far, the most dominating pitcher in the AL this season. the numbers bear that out.

i wouldn’t agree with by far but he’s definitely the right choice… but damn that boy would’ve been one hell of a maintainable man if he would’ve just kept mowing those lawns, so much wasted potential
The choo-choo train left right on time. A ticket costs only your mind.
The driver said, "Hey, man, we go all the way. Of course we were willing to pay.
