Offseason Day 1!

Well the Yankees wrapped up their 27th World Series Title by defeating the Phillies 7-3 in Game 6 of the World Series. Impressive performances from Hideki Matsui and Johnny Damon, who combined to hit .435 (16-for-35) in the World Series. 

Andy Pettitte and CC Sabathia combined to go 7-1 in 10 starts, with CC posting an impressive 1.98 ERA. Nothing was more impressive than Mariano Rivera, who posted a 0.56 ERA in 12 postseason games. A very impressive 2009 season is now in the books!

So with the close of one season opens the doors to another: The Offseason! (Chime Andy Williams "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!")
