Mariners swap Carlos Silva for Milton Bradley
The Mariners pulled off another solid trade this offseason by acquiring disgruntled Cubs outfielder Milton Bradley in exchange for pitcher Carlos Silva.
Silva was awarded a hefty contract after going 13-14 in Minnesota, and it just has not worked out for him in Seattle.
Bradley is a nice pick up for the Mariners. Bradley can be their new left fielder and play in the relatively quiet Seattle, where the media hasn't been an issue for too many players.
If Silva can pitch in the NL, maybe this trade will work out for both sides. Until then, this is a huge steal for the Mariners.

I have problems seeing this as a win right now.
Is Bradley the better player? Of course. But is his attitude going to bring down the Mariners? That’s to be determined. If he does what he’s done the last few years and feels like the team revolves around him, and him only, then this will be a bad deal for a team that is suddenly surprisingly good. As for Silva, who knows. These contracts are both from the “era of abundant” cash flow and are bad. Good luck to both teams and players.

I have no idea why...
…but I always pull for Milton Bradley to do well. Hopefully, this is the spot for him.
Galactus does as he pleases. Because Galactus is drunk.
I have a five-tool player in my pants.
Any team that gets Milton Bradley is far from being a winner

This move is a win for both teams IMO...
The Cubs dump clubhouse cancer and get (mil to pay Silva who should perform better in the weaker NL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope Bradley goes to DL and stays there otherwise Seattle seems to be the clearcut favorites in the AL West at this point in the offseason~
