Brewers sign Gregg Zaun

The Brewers have agreed to a deal with free agent catcher Gregg Zaun, SI.com is reporting. The deal is worth 2.15 million dollars, but holds a club option for 2011.

Zaun, 38, hit .260 with 8 home runs and 27 RBIs in 90 games with the Orioles and Rays last season.

Zaun won't bring much to the team offensively, but the Brewers hope he can work closely with new pitching coach Rick Peterson and their young pitching staff to give them a chance in 2010.
