"Fatigued" A-Rod Parties With Kate Hudson Till 2:30 a.m.

Over the last few days there has been much speculation as to why exactly Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez was benched for two days in Miami. Some believe it may be performance based, the Yankees claim he is "fatigued", and most probably believe it's a little bit of both. If in fact "fatigue" is the answer, at least maybe now we have an answer.

According to the NY Post A-Rod was seen partying into the wee hours in South Beach with his newest female fling, Kate Hudson. The couple was seen leaving an exclusive party at nearly 2:30 a.m. in South Beach.

Now I'm sure most people are sick and tired of hearing about A-Rod and his chaotic personal life, but this story I find somewhat hilarious.

First let me say, Kate Hudson, can't blame A-Rod, it's one of those things if you can get it, get it. However, A-Rod just can't seem to do anything right to improve his public image.

A-Rod, who already has a tumultuous relationship with the New York media, appears to be on of those people "who can't get out of his own way".

Imagine you were in A-Rod's position. It becomes national news on Friday that you will be rested for two games due to "fatigue". You are in the midst of an awful slump (0-15), and you are batting a putrid .212. You have been "booed" harshly by your own fans, and are steadily loosing any supporters you once had. What would your logical next step be?

If you answered stay out and party with your celebrity girlfriend till 2:30 a.m. you're right! Certainly this would be the best way to deal with "fatigue".

While A-Rod has every right to do as he pleases in his own life, I sometimes just wish he would be more conscious of making better decisions. If I recall early in the season following his admission to steroids, A-Rod said something to the affect that he was looking forward to concentrating solely on baseball. How's that working out for you?

In the grand scheme of things this story itself is miniscule and irrelevant, however, it's just a small piece of a much bigger puzzle that is Alex Rodriguez.

This, among gluttony of other reasons is why Yankee fans will never embrace A-Rod.

Hopefully one day A-Rod will loose his high priced PR firm and attend the Derek Jeter School of image counseling.

I think a better poll question would be

are you bored to death of media coverage of Arod?
