Angels Place Ervin Santana on the 15-Day DL

The Los Angles Angels placed right-handed Ervin Santana on the 15-day disabled list and recalled right-hander Sean O'Sullivan from Triple-A Salt Lake.

O'Sullivan will start Tuesday night against Colorado.

This is O'Sullivan second start with the team this year. In his first start O'Sullivan went seven strong innings allowing only one earned run while earning the victory against the Giants on June 16.

Santana is 1-3 with a 7.47 ERA in six starts after missing the first 32 games of the season with a sprained elbow. He had pain in his right triceps after throwing a bullpen session on Sunday.

This is nothing new for Angel fans, as it seems every other week they have another starting pitcher placed on the DL.

The Angeles are currently 36-32 and sit one game behind the first place Texas Rangers.
