Mattingly Shows Support for Manny's HOF Chances
Dodgers hitting coach Don Mattingly said on SI.com's Dan Patrick's podcast today that he thinks Manny Ramirez belongs in the Hall of Fame someday. "He's put up numbers for way too long. It's tough for me to measure a guy for his whole career. This is a mistake he made. It is a one-time thing or who knows? It's a tough call on all this stuff."
Mattingly acknowledged that after retiring in 1995, he left the game during the period when steroid use was most prevalent. After Ryne Sandberg weighed in on this subject just yesterday in reference to Sammy Sosa, it will be interesting to observe the ongoing debate, especially among former players. Will there be a trend among players already inducted to be less supportive, as Sandberg is?

Manny does not deserve in the HOF because he doesnt play the game like it should be played (he uses drugs to help him he doesnt play defense and he faked an injury to get what he wanted)
