Oakland trades Hannahan to Seattle
Associated Press
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Oakland Athletics acquired right-hander Justin Souza from theSeattle Mariners for infielder Jack Hannahan on Saturday.
Hannahan hit .193 with one homer and eight RBIs in 52 games with Oakland before being demoted to Triple-A Sacramento.
Souza, 6-6 with a 3.35 ERA in 20 games with Double-A West Tenn, will join the Athletics' Midland Double-A team
Oakland manager Bob Geren said Hannahan gave the Athletics everything he had and is happy the 29-year old will get another chance to play in the majors.
The A's reinstated Dallas Braden from the bereavement list to start Saturday night's game against Tampa Bay. To make room on the roster, reliever Jeff Gray was optioned to Sacramento.
I hope everyone enjoyed this piece of useless information.

Meh trade.
Fills a hole defensively, can move to 2nd once Beltre’s healthy. His bat’s gonna be a drop from Beltre’s, but he’s better than the existing options at just about everything.
OverTheMonster - ALLERGEN WARNING: May contain peanut butter.
originally when he was traded from Detroit to the Athletics
he was a shortstop but didn’t have range. If they move him to 2nd, what will the Mariners do with Lopez?

Definitely a better option then Woodward at 3B
but the sooner they get Beltre back, the better off Seattle will be.
I like Hannahan. He plays hard. Cant hit worth a shit, but he plays hard.
And he has a really good glove.
What you fail to understand in your joyless myopia is that baseball is the key to life-- the Rosetta Stone, if you will. If you just understood baseball better all your other questions your, your... the, uh... the aliens, the conspiracies they would all, in their way be answered by the baseball gods.
I've enjoyed this useless piece of information.
Why Thank You.
