Evan Longoria to miss All-Star game
Associated Press-
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is out of the American League starting lineup for the All-Star Game because of an infected right ring finger.
He is being replaced in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's game by Texas Rangers third baseman Michael Young, who will bat seventh.
Chone Figgins of the Los Angeles Angels is taking Longoria's place on the AL roster.
Young is a six-time All-Star who will be making his first start. He is batting .308 with 11 homers and 37 RBIs this season.
Figgins, a first-time All-Star, is hitting .310 with one homer, 28 RBIs and an AL-leading 68 runs.
Considering that this game actually counts for something, it's a tough loss for the AL.

Gonna be playing some small ball
with Chone and Carl Crawford, bases will be getting stolen left and right, unless Yadier’s arm is incredible.
