Cards Willing to Part with Glaus
With today's acquisition of Matt Holliday and the recent addition of Mark DeRosa to the Cardinals lineup, rehabbing Troy Glaus suddenly seems to be a man without a home. Glaus is a third baseman, a position now being played by DeRosa and his alternate position is left field, now filled by Holliday.
According to reports from Ken Rosenthal at foxsports.com, there are several teams interested in Glaus, among them, Tigers, Braves, Giants and Rangers, who are expected to scout him this weekend at Class AA Springfield, where he is working his way back from shoulder surgery.

If the Cards are going for it which it seems they are why the hurry to trade him?
a healthy Glaus career OPS (.858) is worth more than DeRosa (.772) and the depth would be nice to have. I mean if the C’s get a legit starting SS or a for sure #4-#5 starter I guess it’s worth it but other than that keep him for the run.

^I agree
Its hard to figure out Glaus’ trade value at this point but they certainly shoudln’t give him away.
Maybe a trade with Seattle for Jarrod Washburn?
I have been in favor of the Cards keeping Glaus
A bench made up of Glaus, Lugo, Khahil Greene and Ankiel looks a lot better than one of Stavinoha, Barden, Duncan and Thurston, which is exactly what they had a week ago…now, you never know what you are going to get outta Greene, or Glaus either for that matter…but I’ll take my chances with the first one.
