Details of Cubs-Pirates Swap

In addition to acquiring lefty reliever John Grabow, the Cubs also got struggling starter Tom Gorzelanny. In exchange, the Pirates received RHP Kevin Hart, Jose Ascanio and Single-A IF Josh Harrison.
The Cubs got what they were looking for in left-handed reliever Grabow and took a flier on the Chicago native Gorzelanny, and didn't have to give up any top-notch prospects in the process. However, before he left, Hart pitched six solid innings Thursday for the Cubs in a 12-3 rout against the Astros and had showed signs of progress as a starter with the big league club this season..
