If I know the Reds.....and I do!
I`d be stunned if the Reds parted with Bailey considering Harang and Arroyo are probably on there way out of Cincy soon. He was brilliant last friday against the Cards, and finally showed everyone just how special he can be. The Reds are very deep down on the farm, in fact they are loaded. They would definatley be able to put together a package for any of the players mentioned, I like Holliday the most but there would have to be a contract extension involved before Walt Jocketty gives up 2 MLB ready prospects and a lower level one. I don`t personally see that happening because Boras is his agent. BTW......under no circumstances would they touch Veron wells and his contract.

Bailey and Frazier for Holliday?
Too much? I dont know…buts its an idea. They could use a 3B prospect and even though Frazier has been playing left field he was a very capable SS for Rutgers….so I imagine he can play 3rd.
What you fail to understand in your joyless myopia is that baseball is the key to life-- the Rosetta Stone, if you will. If you just understood baseball better all your other questions your, your... the, uh... the aliens, the conspiracies they would all, in their way be answered by the baseball gods.
I think Boras is smoking crack if he think Holiday is going to break the bank as a free agent
He’s having a very mediocre year. I wouldn’t surprise me to see the Reds actually be one of the teams pursuing him because his price tag might actually be more reasonable than Boras would like.
What’s the point of rebuilding the farm system and then dumping it away? I’d like to see these guys. They develop guys like Bailey, Votto, Bruce, EE, Hanigan, Dickerson, Heisey, Stubbs, Frazier, Cozart, Zach Stewart, Travis Wood, Alonso………and then trade all that talent away? The best place to learn major league baseball is in the major leagues. When a guy tears up double and triple A to the tune of batting .350 in each………..what else does he have to prove in the minors? And I don’t care if his triple A stint has been short. There’s not that much difference between double and triple A.
I think you're on crack if...
10-3 with a 2.85 ERA is mediocre…
