Rick Porcello Drops Suspension Appeal
Detroit Tigers right-hander Rick Porcello has dropped his appeal of his five-game suspension according to ESPN.com via an AP report. Porcello and Boston Red Sox Kevin Youkilis were each given five game suspensions when Porcello hit Youkilis with a pitch and Youkilis charged the mound.

this changes my mind on whether it was intentional or not
I thought “ok he hit someone the redsox are always hitting batters”. Youkilis gets hit alot but you can’t say all of them are intentional the guy crowds the the plate with his shoulder. Now if it was a chamberlain throw right over his head that’s a different matter. But now I can see this pitch was intentional now that he basically admitted wrong. Still a five game suspension isn’t right when players like garza flat out admit it.
