Jason Giambi to sign with Rockies?
Tracy Ringolsby of FOXSports.com is reporting that free-agent first baseman Jason Giambi will join the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, presumably to prepare to be a bench player when the rosters expand in September.
Despite reaching the 400 homerun mark, Giambi struggled at the plate, hitting a abysmal .193 in 83 games for the A's.
He will serve as the veteran role player coming off the bench for the Rockies.

Am I the only one realize how similar Giambi and Pena are in their BA-OBP differences? If Giambi batted a measly .250 this season, he’d have a .389 OBP.
Still funny how he has a higher OBP than Aaron Hill, Ian Kinsler, and David Ortiz.
