Hideki Matsui in Mariners uniform in 2010?

While Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui would like to remain in New York when his contract runs out, he would be open to the idea of playing in Seattle with fellow countryman Ichiro. Matsui is putting together another solid season, and could continue his strong play in a DH role for the next couple seasons.

Matsui is making 13 million dollars this season, and would definitely have to take a pay cut to play next season. Matsui, 35, will draw interest as a DH. The White Sox and Athletics could also become landing spots for Matsui. The Yankees have to decide how they want to configure their outfield in 2010, with Johnny Damon, Matsui, and Xavier Nady all up for free agency.

matsui to mariners ?

that could be and obtion, but before they bring back damon they should think about matsui better,he would be chipper than damon just because he would be a dh that way he could share time with posada, that would need to dh atleast 35% of the time next season.
than is nady what are the yanks going to do with him his a free agent next season, but we need to get young in the outfield and austin jackson should be consider for next year he has don everything the yankee had ask him to do

Whatever team MATS plays for

he’ll rake.

The guy is playing on NO knees right now and is mashing.

I don’t know if there is an option for him to get surgery so that he can play the field again one day, but if he could play the field even 1/4 of his playing time and DH the rest, well, that bat is one of the most consistent weapons in the league.

I really want him back on the Yanks, but its really unlikely.

GODZZIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
