Twins closing in on deal with Ron Mahay

FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Twins are closing in on a deal with reliever Ron Mahay. Mahay went 1-1 with a 4.79 ERA in 41 games before being cut by the Royals last week. 

The Twins are looking for a late season upgrade in the bullpen for the final stretch. They are just 4.5 games out of first, but are in third place behind the Tigers and White Sox. They have six games against both the Tigers and White Sox, so a strong bullpen could play a huge part in a late season run for the Twins.
