A's Release Jason Giambi

PrintThe Oakland A's have released stuggling first baseman Jason Giambi according to CBSSports.com. Giambi was hitting .195/.332/.364 in 328 PA's and hadn't played since July 19th because of a quadriceps injury. It's still possible he latches on with an American League team as a part-time DH.

I still find it hard to believe...
How bad Giambi has played this season, considering how good he was last season.
I thought he was gonna be a bargain for the A’s but he’s been a relatively expensive mistake.
