Red Sox expected to pursue Hernandez?

The Boston Globe expects the Red Sox to make another push to acquire Mariners ace Felix Hernandez. The Red Sox made an offer to the Mariners at the trade deadline, but talks reportedly never got serious. Hernandez is having the best year of his young career, posting a 2.45 ERA with 196 strike outs.

The Mariners are open to extending Hernandez, but an offer loaded with highly touted prospects might be hard to pass up.

The Red Sox could also explore trades for Roy Halladay or even Carlos Zambrano, who said he would only consider trades to the Red Sox, White Sox, or Dodgers

The price for Zambrano may not be as steep as Hernandez or Halladay, so there could be a match there.

If you're a Red Sox fan, which of these pitchers do you want to see the Red Sox acquire?

I can't see how the Mariners trade Felix.

They aren’t that bad of a team, but they probably would be sans Felix, no matter who they get in a trade.

What the f$%k is the internet?

No, the Mariners ARE that bad a team...

But they won’t get any better by trading away their best, most dominant pitcher, since Randy Johnson. And, is there any truth to this, or is this a classic BoSox presumption?

Carlos Zambrano...

…is a bonehead.

Of the three, I’d take King Felix due to his age, mainly. I think Doc is a beast, but Felix is gonna be good for a long time.

Man I love that tuna casserole.
