Mike Cameron on Cubs radar?

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Cubs may target impending free agent Mike Cameron this offseason. The move to bring in Cameron would push Fukudome to right field, giving them a veteran outfield that could mentor young prospects like Tyler Colvin and Brett  Jackson. Cameron  is having a fairly good year, but his age puts him in line for a one year deal, possibly with an option for two.

The Yankees are a dark horse in the Mike Cameron race, but he may prefer to stay in the NL Central, where he has become  familar with the pitching and dimensions of the particular ballparks.

The numbers can speak for themselves, do you want Mike Cameron on  your team?

yea

let the chubs have someone that strikes out a ton, and doesnt really have any other tools besides fielding, just means the CHUBS spend more money on someone worthless again and gives my cards a better chance at winning next year

Seems like the Cards are going for it this year

next year doesn’t look very good. You can put your nose up at fielding, but Ankiel will be gone. With mediocre outfield defense you better hope they talk Dave Duncan into staying.
