Chip Hale an option at manager in D.C.
FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal suggests that Diamondbacks third base coach Chip Hale could be a managerial option for the Nationals. Hale managed the Triple-A Sidewinders to a 91 win season when now-Nationals GM Mike Rizzo was the teams scouting director.
The Nationals have a lot of people to pick from. Rosenthal says they have considered Bobby Valentine, who would give the team an instant 'identity.'
I couldn't agree more.
Valentine has had unbelievable success in Japan, leading the Chiba Lotte Marines to their first championship in over thirty-years. His experience and style would fit perfectly with the dynamics of the Nationals.
The Nationals have not ruled out holding onto Jim Riggleman, who is 21-29 since joining the Nationals. Nationals president Stan Kasten told John Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com that he could not be happier with the job Riggleman is doing.
With a couple more names added to the pot, who do you think should be the next manager of the Nationals?

very interesting poll results
as i was doing research on bobby valentine in the process of writing this article, i was kinda sold on him being in washington. however, it looks as if the readers would like to see Jim Riggleman stick around at least for a little while…
maybe its time for a ‘Keep Jim Riggleman’ blog. lets hear from some nats fans on what they think?
