Pirates agree to deal with Ryan Church

Stay connected for news and updates

The Pirates have agreed to terms on a contract with free agent outfielder Ryan Church, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Church hit .273 with 4 home runs in 111 games between the Mets and Braves, right in line with his .272 career line in six seasons.

Church is the left-handed outfielder the Pirates were looking for this offseason, resolving offseason outfielder hunt and putting an end to the teams spending this offseason.

He'll likely split playing with Brandon Moss and Garrett Jones.
