Cardinals interested in Chien-Ming Wang?

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that the Cardinals are interested in free agent starter Chien-Ming Wang. Wang has battled injuries the past couple of seasons, but it wasn't that long ago that Wang was a back-to-back 19-game winner for the Yankees (2006-2007).

Consider Dave Duncan's history with struggling pitchers, the Cardinals may be the best option for Wang. Not only will he be playing in the weak NL Central, but he'll have good offensive support behind Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday

Wang is considered a fallback option for several teams who are eyeing free agent Ben Sheets. Sources say both pitchers should receive contracts between 5-8 million dollars annually.
