White Sox should target Jonny Gomes
Jonny Gomes could really do some damage in U.S. Cellular Field.
After a year to forget in Tampa Bay in 2008, Gomes signed on in Cincinnati and did damage coming mostly as a reserve outfielder, making just under 300 at-bats.
Gomes hit .307 with 5 home runs and a .369 on-base percentage in 101 at-bats versus lefties last season while compiling a .244 average versus righties with 15 home runs.
Gomes could be used in the DH spot and in the corner outfield with the White Sox, giving the team a low cost option who offers power and insurance if anyone goes down with an injury.

He would be a cheap option, but the sox need LHB not RHB's for DH

true
Yeah I was thinking they prefer a lefty bat, but unless they want Delgado or Branyan, Gomes might be the cheapest option with the highest reward.
looks like the cubs are in on him now…

I would think one team that needs a cheap RHB with good splits against lefties is his old team, the Rays
