Red Sox sign Adrian Beltre
The Red Sox and Adrian Beltre have come to terms on a one year deal worth 9 million dollars with a 5 million dollar option for 2011.
Beltre may find Fenway Park more suitable for his style at the plate, at least that is what the Red Sox are hoping. Beltre, a .270 career hitter, is a .179 hitter in 56 career at-bats in Fenway Park.
The addition of Beltre all but guarantees a Mike Lowell trade will happen once Lowell recovers from thumb surgery, presumably to the Rangers for prospect Max Ramirez.

Hey Eli
Just curious, did Satchel decide to write elsewhere?
In football, the object is for the quarterback, otherwise known as the field general, to be on target with his aerial assault, riddling the defense by hitting his recievers with deadly accuracy in spite of the blitz, even if he has to use the shotgun. With short bullet passes and long bombs, he marches his troops into enemy territory, balancing this aerial assault with a sustained ground attack that punches holes in the forward wall of the enemy's defensive line.
In baseball the object is to go home! And to be safe! "I hope I'll be safe at home!"
