Padres closer Heath Bell wants three-year extension

Padres closer Heath Bell wants a three year extension from the Padres or he may be pitching in another uniform next season. Bell was lights out in 2010, posting a  6-1 record and a 1.93 ERA with 47 saves and 86 strike outs.

Bell, 33, is likely to command a three year deal anywhere he goes, but he certainly  deserves it in San Diego for the past four seasons he has given them.
