Brewers name Bobby Valentine manager?
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that the Brewers have agreed in principle with Bobby Valentine to be their next manager. Valentine, former manager of Rangers, Mets, and Chiba Lotte Marines of Japan.
Valentine is highly regarded for his work as a manager, especially in Japan when he lead the lowly Mariners to a Championship title in less than five years.
Valentine has interviewed for several jobs over the past few seasons, namely the Marlins and Mariners' gigs, but withdrew his name from the Marlins twice and the Mariners went with Eric Wedge.
The Brewers made a great move going with Valentine. He's an emotional manager who will fire up his players and potentially have them competing with the Cardinals and Reds at the top of the division.

"The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting"?
Not quite — they’re reporting that there is a report that Valentine is coming — and it was later denied by SI reporter Jon Heyman: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/fanblogs/105881563.html. Valentine himself refused to confirm the report and claimed no talks were ongoing.
LMAO
I love it. A denial of a report about a report.
