Davey Lopes Informs Phillies He Will Not Return As Coach Next Season

According to the Associated Press, Philadelphia Philliesfirst base coach Davey Lopes has informed the organization that he will not return next season. 

Lopes spent the last four seasons with the Phillies in which he has notably improved the base running skills of shortstop Jimmy Rollins, second baseman Chase Utley, and Shane Victorino. 

It is unclear as to if Lopes will coach for another team, or retire at the age of 65.
