The St. Louis Cardinals have apparently been looking for suitors for shortstop Brendan Ryan, according to Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Ryan struggled in 2010 hitting just .223 in 439 at bats.
There are teams said to be interested but the market is dwindling.
The Cardinals are also searching the market for a backup catcher and might have found one in Bengie Molina who's coming off a World Series appearance with the Texas Rangers.
