Padres sign Orlando Hudson, acquire Jason Bartlett

The Padres have signed second baseman Orlando Hudson to a two year deal worth 11.5 million dollars. Hudson, 33, is a lifetime .280 hitter, but hit .268 in 126 games last season with the Twins.
Hudson is one of the best clubhouse guys in baseball and a veteran to have around. The Padres also solved the other side of the middle infield today by finalizing a deal with the Rays for Jason Bartlett.
