- The Padres acquired Jason Bartlett from the Rays today. The players the Rays will receive have not been announced.
- Free agent Magglio Ordonez is drawing moderate interest on the market.
- The Marlins came close to pulling off a three-team deal for Zach Greinke but talks fell through.
- The Yankees made an official offer to Cliff Lee today believed to be a six year deal in the range of 21-24 million dollars annually.
- The Brewers have serious interest in free agent pitcher Carl Pavano.
- The Pirates signed Matt Diaz.
- Russell Martin is still drawing interest on the open market.
- The Red Sox, Angels, Yankees, and Rangers have all reached out to Cliff Lee in the past day.
- The Braves closing in on a deal with George Sherrill.
- Would the Cubs surrender Josh Vitters in a deal for Zach Greinke? One NL source thinks they would, another does not.
