A's designate Willy Taveras for assignment
Just an hour or so after acquiring outfielder Willy Taveras from the Reds, the A's have designated him for assignment. Don't expect another team to simply pick up his contract on the waiver wire, but another trade could be in the works.
Taveras batted just .240 with a .275 on-base percentage for the Reds last season. He could be an option for the Blue Jays.

Why would the Jays want him?
And where would they play him? RF?
Knights, Canucks, Dolphins, Jays and Raptors all the way.
