Nationals agree to terms with Chien-Ming Wang
MLB.com's Bill Ladson is reporting that the Nationals have come to terms with free agent right-hander Chien-Ming Wang. Wang struggled mightily last season before being shut down with an aching shoulder, which he eventually had surgery to repair.
Wang, only a few years removed from consecutive 19-win seasons, isn't expected to return until mid-May or early June. No official timetable has been set.
If Wang, 29, can come strong and put together a good season with the Nationals, he could command a short-term deal. It is essential that Wang's secondary pitches come back strong because otherwise his fastball won't be as effective.
Either way, the Nationals have done a fairly good job bringing in some veterans to shape the franchise.

Good signing for the Nats.
Regarless of if he comes back from injury, this is a great move in my opinion. $2 million is not much and he carries a good Taiwanese fan base which will boost ticket sales a little. He will induce ground balls and get outs when he gets healthy. Way to go Nats.
Why not us? Why not now?
