Dodgers sign Eric Gagne

MLB.com is reporting that the Dodgers and Eric Gagne have agreed to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. Gagne pitched in the CanAm league and posted a 4.65 ERA in 17 starts last season, a year removed from a disappointing season with the Brewers.

Gagne will compete for a spot in the bullpen, but will likely have to prove his worth in Triple-A before before getting a call up.

Gagne owns a career 3.47 ERA in 402 appearances over 10 seasons with the Dodgers, Rangers, Red Sox, and Brewers.

I don't know why the Dodgers would do this...

He isn’t getting any better, but with a minor league deal, there is a huge margin for improvement, especially saying how good he wa a couple of years ago.
