Around SBN: How Not To Criticize Tom Brady For The Patriots' Loss

Cardinals, Padres enter Felipe Lopez mix?

FOX SPORTS is reporting that the Cardinals and Padres are the latest teams to enter into the mix for free agent infielder Felipe Lopez. Lopez, who surprisingly remains unsigned after hitting .310 with 9 home runs in 151 games.

Lopez would definitely serve as a utility player with the Cardinals, likely seeing most of his time at second, third, and short. It is hard to believe he would not return the Cardinals. They are the favorites in the NL Central and Lopez would only enhance their odds.

The Padres would benefit greatly from the addition of Felipe Lopez, who would see time all around the infield.

With spring training starting to get underway, we should expect to see him sign sometime in the next week.
